North Bank Campground is located next to the Doctor Park Trailhead. Guests can use Doctor Park Trail for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.

Taylor Park Trading Post and SKYHIGHCOLORADO RV Park

For those seeking a blend of convenience and natural beauty, Taylor Park Trading Post and SKYHIGHCOLORADO RV Park is an excellent choice. Situated on the eastern shore of Taylor Reservoir, this campground offers a range of accommodations, including 50 AMP hookups, shower house and laundry facilities, and water and sewer.

With full hookups, modern amenities, and access to recreational activities like fishing, boating, and hiking, SKYHIGHCOLORADO campground provides a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience. We have personally seen moose roaming near this area, so there is the opportunity for some unforgettable wildlife viewing, as well.

Lakeview Gunnison Campground

Sitting on a hillside overlooking Taylor Reservoir, Lakeview Gunnison Campground lives up to its name by offering breathtaking panoramic views of the sparkling lake and the majestic mountains beyond. The campground features spacious sites, many of which are shaded, providing a serene and tranquil atmosphere. Lakeview Gunnison Campground sits at 9400 ft in elevation, so be sure to prepare for high elevation camping where weather may be drastically different than in the nearest towns such as Almont.

This Campground is a picturesque camping destination offering a combination of mountain and lake views. The campground features spacious sites nestled among towering trees, providing shade and privacy. It is probably around a one and a half hour drive from Lake Fork Campground to Taylor Reservoir. The drive is nice and there are many sights to see between the two destinations, so you could easily make it a day trip.

Spring Creek Campground

Spring Creek Campground has a total of 12 first-come-first-serve sites. Amenities in the campground are limited in comparison to other campgrounds on this list, but there is a vault toilet. If you are willing to rough it a little bit while you are camping then Spring Creek Campground offers great access to the Taylor River and Fossil Ridge Wilderness Area.
