Elvi’s Kitchen is an outstanding restaurant that offers an unforgettable taste of Belizean cuisine. From the moment you step through the doors of this charming eatery, you will be struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that permeates the space. My first encounter with this restaurant was when I was six years old and privileged enough to be in San Pedro, Belize with my parents and sister visiting my aunt, uncle, and cousins who lived on the island. The beautifully lit tree in the middle of the dining room will forever be a core memory of that trip for me!
I got to visit this beautiful island once again as a teenager with my parents, and we of course ran back to Elvi’s to enjoy their local delicacies. Most recently, however, I got to dine here as a thirty-something woman, visiting San Pedro once again with family, this time to watch my older sister get married.
As you can likely already tell, this restaurant holds a special place in my heart. I got to experience it as various pivotal times in my life with some of the most important people by my side each time. And each time left a lasting memory of delicious food, breath-taking atmosphere, and wonderful company.

It feels as though they are welcoming you into the dining room of their home as they seat you at the table that is sure to provide you with one of the tastiest meals you’ve ever had.

The service at Elvi’s Kitchen is exceptional. The staff are all friendly, accommodating, and happy to answer any questions you might have about the menu or recommend dishes that suit your taste. They are also knowledgeable about the history and culture of Belize, and are happy to share their insights with diners who are interested in learning more about the country.
One important note is to be sure you make reservations. Their dining room is small and if you don’t have a reservation, you might find yourself waiting for hour to be seated, or perhaps not get seated at all.
