My family and I recently had the pleasure of trying Rib City Grill in Grand Junction and we were blown away by the quality of the food and the level of service we received. I grew up in the area and certainly knew of Rib City, but had never actually had the pleasure of consuming their reputable ribs. So, I was delighted when my partner Luke suggested we grab a BBQ pack from Rib City Grill for dinner.
Helpful Staff at Rib City Grill
The staff at Rib City Grill was extremely helpful in answering our questions about the menu, and they even offered suggestions based on our taste preferences. We opted for the Baby Back Double Pack since we wanted to try a bit of everything. It came complete with two full racks of ribs, smoked beef, a whole chicken, two quart sized sides, and eight slices of garlic toast. For sides, we opted for BBQ beans and Mac N Cheese, both of which were uniquely delicious.
Smokey, Juicy, and Tender Ribs
When we got home and opened up our order, we were thrilled with the amount of food we received. The ribs were cooked to perfection and the meat was juicy and tender with a nice linger of smokiness. The sauce was the perfect balance of tangy and sweet and the chicken was also incredibly juicy. As far as the smoked beef goes, we could have gone without. But, while it may have failed in comparison to the to-die-for chicken and ribs, it was still a delicious cut of meat. The sides were also a hit, with the sweet and smoky BBQ beans being a standout for us.
The Take Out Experience at Rib City Grill
One of the things we appreciated most about Rib City Grill was the attention to detail in their packaging. Each item was carefully placed in a separate space within the aluminum container, and the sides were in their own cups so that they didn’t mix with the meat. Everything was still piping hot when we got home, which was impressive considering we had a bit of a drive. All that said, Rib City Grill made it easy to transport our dinner without compromising temperature, presentation, or quality.
